Where do I start????? The first visit to Banner was related to the transmission and had to replace the torque converter and all was good with this transaction. Well I took my ride to have the oil changed at local business about 2 weeks after the torque converter was replace. Once on the rack the mechanic took me to look at what he had found, and on the trans cooling line was a pair of Snap On hose clamp. OK!!!!!!! So I brought it back to Banner and they said it should not hurt the trans!!!!!! So now lets fast forward to the monitors. May 24, 2023 is when I dropped of the Expedition again to have some issues resolved and most of the issues where fixed, but they stated the monitors where fixed, but they wasn't. Took back the ride in Aug for the monitors and more excuses. I was told that they didn't know what the problem was and had to bring it back at a later time. WHY? If you can't fixed it now, how is later going to help??? I called Ford Customer Service and that's a joke too. They did reach out to Banner Ford and they called and told me to schedule an appointment. So I decided to take it to another dealership and they looked at it and replaced a cable and found something broke in the monitors and they refused to work on it any further and told me to take it back to Banner. So I do take it back once the kids are out of school and for 3 weeks they are no closer to finding an answer. They say they can't work on it because of the software hack, but what about the 2 weeks before the hack? The quality of work from Banner is substandard and I have spoke to the Service manager Aaron Davenport and said he would make it right, but I am still waiting on that to HAPPEN. I have a few pictures from the dealership that refuse to work on it and some parts don't look new, but not sure what was replaced, but I am going to reach out the Attorney Generals Office to see if they can help.
First off, I hate going to dealerships for service, as I can do most things myself. We were traveling through on our way back home from vacation when I had a sudden front end issue with our truck. After the first shop failed to find an issue, I called Sheryl with Banner Ford and she was able to get me in right away so we wouldn't be stranded over the weekend. They quickly determined the front right hub was coming apart and got it changed quickly to get us back on the road. They had me out the door in less than 2 hours. Being a dealership, the prices are severely overinflated as I could have bought the part elsewhere for almost half the price. The only reason they get 4 stars instead of 5 is the price, but I am still very thankful for the quick turnaround and overall service that Sheryl and the mechanic provided.
We had an issue with our truck while traveling through the area pulling our fifth wheel trailer. I called and Sheryl told us to bring it right in. We did and they looked at the truck immediately and, after some repairs, our issue was resolved. A huge shout-out and thank you to Sheryl and technician Sammy for your prompt and courteous service. You are the best!!! Thank you from the Canadians!
Sales department was ok. Service department was TERRIBLE!
Good coffee
I called last week and set up what I thought was a service appointment for drop off this morning. I needed a brake issue (a Ford recall) fixed and am having an issue with my climate control not working. I got up an hour early, lined up a ride, and went to drop my car off and was told that they don't make appointments and that they are 2 days out. I didn't leave my car since I can't afford to be without a car 2 days. I'm new to town and had been warned by family that they have a bad reputation and I can definitely see why. Lesson learned ... I should have trusted family and Google reviews.
Read all material given or sent to you by h this dealer very closely as they like to add services not asked for, neglect to tell you about the 3% surcharge for credit card payment and don’t fully service the vehicle. The service writer, Susan Rainey, met me outside as I dropped off my truck (this will come into play later) and I told her what I wanted; the oil and filter changed, fuel filters changed, transmission fluid changed, and she asked if I wanted the in terms flushed. I said yes, if that’s part of the 136,000 mile service. She said they would also inspect the rear differential and change the fluid. I said I wanted the front diff done as well. I also said I’d like the tires rotated with the air pressure set at 5lbs below max. I dropped off my truck without going inside so I didn’t see the sign on the service writer’s desk that Banner Ford charges a 3% surcharge for credit cards but not debit cards nor did Susan tell me about the surcharge. I received a text with an estimate of the work to be done, made sure the items I requested were on there and okay’ed it. It only had the rear diff service so I told Susan to add the front diff as I had requested. She said she would and resubmit the estimate. The program Banner ford uses wouldn’t allow me to view the amended estimate but she promised me she had added it. I told her okay to go ahead. Later she told me a diesel tech would be doing the work on my truck which I asked why it would take a diesel tech to do basic maintenance. Susan said her service manager felt since the mileage on my F350 was high (136xxx which isn’t high in my opinion) and the year (2015) it would be better to have the tech service it. I asked if they charged the same rate for a tech as they did an oil changer and she said there was no difference. I told her to go ahead of there was no rate difference. (Somebody is getting screwed however if they charge the same rate to change your oil as they do to have a 30 year diesel tech work on truck) Then Susan sent me a text saying the brake pads needed changing and I okayed that via text since the estimate tool didn’t allow me the ability to see an amended estimate. When I arrived at the dealership to pay for the services, I saw the paper printed out sign announcing the surcharge for credit cards. I had to pay with a mixture of debit and cash (lucky I had it on me). I checked the itemized receipt closely and asked again why a diesel tech would be assigned to do maintenance on my vehicle. Susan said it the service manager felt it was best because if anything was mechanically wrong and she said no, everything was fine. I had a “check engine” light on when I came into the dealership and a TPS fault light on so I asked what the 30 year experienced diesel tech said about the Check Engine light. Susan stuttered for a moment and said he didn’t say anything, that she would go ask him. I told her not to bother because if he had seen he would’ve said something. Nothing was mentioned about the Tire Pressure Sensor light either. Once I got home I went over the bill closer and found they had flushed the cooling system which I had not asked for. I called and told Susan about this and she said she would talk to her Service Manage about it. After a few moments she told me he said since it was on the original estimate and I had okayed the estimate, they weren’t going to do anything about it. Since I couldn’t view the original estimate, I have no idea if it was on there or not. I was more worried about the things I had asked for instead of something I didn’t. So, thanks Aaron Davenport, Service Manager, I won’t be going back to Banner Ford for anything. If they’re going to cheat me out of money for services I didn’t ask for, neglect to tell me about the 3% surcharge, and not check my vehicle over completely, why would I ever want to do business with you again? Let this be a cautionary tale and please find somewhere else to take your vehicle. Anywhere else.
I had my wife's 2020 Explorer and my 2018 F150 serviced yesterday. I used the concierge service to pick up and drop off my vehicles. The drive was Alvin and he is just fantastic. The mechanic found some issues with my wife's car that could have been really bad, but they caught it and repaired it. My truck's rear tire has a nail in the sidewalls on the inside of the tire. I didn't even know about it. It will be fixed on Monday. They had to order the tire. But the biggest standout for me was the service advisor, Rachel Chandler. She is absolutely the best person they have. She kept me informed every step of the way. She is the epitome of customer service and professionalism. I want to thank all the people at Banner Ford that was involved in my experience yesterday.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Five-Star Service Banner Ford I want to give a huge thank you to the entire team at Banner Ford for the outstanding service they provided for my 2014 Ford Explorer, “Black Beauty.” As someone who is passionate about the automotive industry and working toward becoming an automotive technician, I truly appreciate technicians and service professionals who take pride in their work, communicate clearly, and properly diagnose vehicles instead of simply treating symptoms. I brought Black Beauty to Banner Ford after experiencing ongoing alignment concerns following suspension work. From the moment we arrived, we were treated with respect, professionalism, and genuine care. A special thank you goes to Mr. Kenny, a technician with over 40 years of experience in the automotive industry. Kenny performed a full vehicle inspection (FEA) and took the time to go through the vehicle thoroughly. He inspected important areas including the tires, wipers, brakes, fluids, and overall vehicle condition while also focusing on the alignment concerns we brought in. What stood out to me the most was that Mr. Kenny personally came out from the shop to speak with us about Black Beauty. Instead of having everything communicated only through the service advisor, Kenny took the time to explain his findings directly from his perspective as the technician who inspected the vehicle. That level of communication, honesty, and professionalism means a lot. During his inspection, Kenny identified the alignment concerns and found issues with the front passenger-side upper and lower tie rod components, including damaged adjustment areas that prevented proper adjustment. He explained what he found and helped us understand the correct steps needed moving forward. I also want to recognize Mr. Gary, the service advisor, for his excellent communication and customer service. Gary kept us informed throughout the process, explained everything clearly, and showed confidence in Kenny’s inspection and recommendations. The trust between a technician and service advisor says a lot about the quality of the team at Banner Ford. The Banner Ford team corrected the alignment concerns and did not charge us for the alignment service. Their willingness to properly diagnose the vehicle, explain the findings, and take care of the customer truly stood out. I also want to personally wish Mr. Kenny a speedy recovery as he prepares for shoulder surgery and will be out of the shop for approximately two months. I hope his recovery goes smoothly, and I look forward to seeing him back in the shop doing what he does best. Technicians with his level of experience, knowledge, and dedication are extremely valuable. Thank you again to Mr. Kenny, Mr. Gary, and the entire Banner Ford team for taking care of Black Beauty and treating us with respect. Your professionalism, honesty, and commitment to quality automotive service are greatly appreciated. I highly recommend Banner Ford to anyone looking for experienced technicians, excellent communication, and a team that truly cares about doing the job right.
Will do business again in the future! Great pricing on the 2018 Jeep Sahara and the salesman Ivan Lopez went about and beyond - sending me additional pictures and FaceTime me so I can hear the motor for myself.
Update 7/27/26: Frank in service was a very clear communicator and my truck was in and out for routine maintenance in no time. Spencer in service was very friendly and made sure I had all my questions answered at the end of my service appointment. Someone else made sure I knew there was coffee and where the bathrooms were located. I’ll be back!
Justin the service advisor is by a wide margin one of the best dealer service guys out there. After I bought my used F150 Lightning at a dealership in Birmingham, Alabama, they’ve been taking great care of me ever since. When taking the truck in for anything, they keep in touch and are able to quickly get messages back and forth through their answering service which works well. Leave a message and he’ll call you back immediately, usually with good news. Even big repairs are same-day and they’re never too busy to keep you informed and updated on the status of your baby. Thank you, Justin, for a great experience at the dealership. If you pull into service and are greeted by Justin, rest easy; you’re in amazing hands! He will take care of you and your vehicle and get you back on the road quickly with confidence. They really take care of you here at Banner and Justin Ard is an amazing guy who genuinely cares about you, your family, your peace of mind with your vehicle, your wallet, and your time. THANK YOU SO MUCH 💪🙏
Had my vehicle serviced. Quality people and great service!
Call Ivan for all your needs. We where traveling out west and needed a truck upgrade to haul our camper. He was quick to respond. Followed through with all question. He went above and beyond. I buy several several trucks per year for our business. He is my new go to truck guy.
Ivan was a pleasure doing business with. He spoke with me and not at me like most sales people do. Thank you Banner Ford for everything!
Ivan went above and beyond to help us find a car! We've had our car for 1 years and love it!
The service department used to be great. I was told I had an oil leak and needed a $200 diagnostic so they had my car all day no phone call and when I called at almost 5 they still had not looked at my car. So I had to pay to uber to and from work, etc. So no one calls to tell me what the outcome of the diagnostic was because my service rep wasn’t in. Finally, tired of waiting, I called and I got a message of what I needed. I said yes, order the parts i will get it fixed. A few months later I called to see why I wasn’t called to have my car repaired and was told a part was on backorder, this was in November, it is now April. No follow up and then someone (sales associate) from Banner texts me so I tell them my situation. Nothing. No follow up. So I spent $200 for nothing and how do I trust them now?
We purchased a used jeep in very good condition. I've bought many cars in my lifetime. With this one There was no pressure and our sales person Ivan was very cool did his best to give us a good price on the vehicle. Would purchase another vehicle in the future.
